Where I practice
Welcome to my Web page. I'm happy to have this chance to introduce myself to you and tell you about my practice. At Kaiser Permanente I feel the freedom to practice medicine the way I was trained to practice. I look forward to working with you to care for your health. It is very important that you feel comfortable with your personal physician, and I hope this page will help you start to get to know me.
I grew up in Houston, where I went to medical school. Both of my parents grew up in California, so I spent most of every summer of my life, visiting relatives in California. So, I returned to California to practice medicine. Children have a special place in my heart. As I went through medical school and residency training it became clear that pediatrics was the right thing for me to do. Kaiser Permanente is the best place for me to practice pediatrics. I now have a family and two children of my own, which includes all the wonders and trials of raising children. I have learned so much about the practical side of pediatrics in raising my own children.
About my practice
I want to be your partner in health, and it helps me better care for you when you are actively involved in taking care of your health.
How I thrive
Keeping balance in my life is very important to me. I love both participating in and watching sports (Go Cowboys!). At different times in my life I have avidly pursued bowling, volleyball, baseball, football, tennis and racquetball. I have competed at the high school or college level in snow skiing, soccer and swimming. I have run two marathons. I run, swim and work out moderately with weights to keep my mind and body healthy. I love backpacking in the California High Sierra mountains. I was a music minor in college. I have had a life-long interest in the evolution of man, our world and the universe. Through my wife, I have developed a deep interest in history.
