Where I practice
Hello there! Thanks for visiting my Web page in your search for the right physician. I hope this introduction will provide an understanding of what I do, how I do it, and how my colleagues and I can help you be healthy.
As director of surgical services, and associate medical director at Kaiser Permanente Orange County, I am dedicated to providing members the best possible comprehensive care. After spending the first years of my life in upstate New York, I moved to the outskirts of Los Angeles. I attended college in at Washington University in St. Louis, and medical school at UC Irvine.
About my practice
My practice is primarily devoted to rhinology with specialization in the treatment of sinus and nasal disorders. I believe in working as a team, so I rely heavily on my team leaders and my medical assistants. Together we work very hard to provide you with high-quality care. I split my time between my clinical practice and management responsibilities. Currently, I am in charge of all surgical operations in Kaiser Permanente Orange County. I also lead the Kaiser Permanente Rhinology National and Southern California groups. Finally, I work with Kaiser Permanente physicians from across the country to negotiate contracts for equipment that we use in surgery. Because of these demands, I usually only see patients one day a week, and operate one day a week. I tend to communicate with my patients on Kaiser’s secure email.
How I thrive
I believe in balance in mind, body, and spirit. I spent many years learning and practicing martial arts. I have a black belt in shaolin ch'uan fa, and am working on my second black belt in seven star praying mantis kung fu. I have practiced Brazilian jiu-jitsu and other disciplines as well. I love gadgets and technology and avidly follow English soccer.
