About me

Welcome! I'm Dr. Schneider. It is important that I feel comfortable with my personal physician, and I’m sure you feel the same for your child or teen. I am delighted to have the opportunity to share more about myself and my pediatric practice.

Biography

I was born and raised in Southern California but was fortunate to explore much of the world while growing up. I attended medical school in New York and later returned to California to complete my pediatric training, so I could be closer to family. According to my mother, I decided to become a pediatrician at just 11 years old. I’m grateful to have followed that dream, as I’m deeply passionate about my work and the children whose lives I touch. Outside of medicine, I’m the proud mom of 2 amazing sons who keep me active, grounded, and constantly inspired.

About my practice

Most children are born healthy, and my goal is to help keep them that way. I care for all children, from newborns through 18 years old, and believe in promoting healthy habits from the very start. I especially enjoy building lasting relationships with families and supporting my patients as they grow and thrive.

In addition to my clinical work, I serve as the Assistant Area Medical Director for the Care of Children in the Kaiser Permanente Downey service area, which allows me to support quality pediatric care throughout the organization, while spending half of my week seeing patients.

How I thrive

I lead an active and healthy lifestyle. I enjoy running, weight training, hiking, dancing, and spending time at the beach. I love listening to live music, discovering new restaurants, and cheering at professional sporting events, but my greatest joy comes from watching my own sons play the sports they love. I also enjoy traveling and experiencing the beauty of different cultures around the world, which continually broadens my perspective both personally and professionally.
