Where I practice
About me
I am a board-certified hematologist and medical oncologist practicing at Kaiser Permanente’s Bellflower Medical Center.
Biography
I received my medical degree from Saint Louis University School of Medicine and completed my internal medicine residency and fellowship at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center with time spent at Kaiser Permanente and City of Hope during fellowship. With more than a decade of clinical experience, I am committed to delivering compassionate care that is based on evidence and current research to individuals with cancer and blood disorders. My goal is to partner closely with members and their families, ensuring they feel supported, informed, and empowered throughout their care journey.
About my practice
Cancer Subspecialty Focus
My focus is on head and neck malignancies, but I have expertise in the diagnosis and management of a broad range of solid tumors and hematologic conditions. I care for members with gastrointestinal cancers, breast cancer, head and neck cancers, genitourinary cancers, skin cancers including melanoma, lung cancer and thymoma, and thyroid and endocrine tumors. I also treat complex and malignant hematologic disorders such as lymphoma, along with benign blood conditions. I am dedicated to offering individual treatment plans that are based on evidence and current research and are tailored to each member’s unique needs.
Collaboration on Multidisciplinary Teams
At Kaiser Permanente, we believe that team-based care leads to positive outcomes. I serve on the head and neck multidisciplinary subcommittee, working closely with colleagues in medical oncology, radiation oncology, surgery, and pathology. This approach helps ensure that each member receives a comprehensive treatment plan informed by collective expertise and the most current clinical evidence. Together, our team evaluates complex cases, refines treatment strategies, and supports members from diagnosis through survivorship.
How I thrive
I believe that thriving as a physician begins with balance, purpose, and compassion. Maintaining personal well-being allows me to bring focus, empathy, and energy to the care of members every day. Outside of work, I value time with my family, including my 3 children. I stay active by road biking regularly, a hobby introduced to me by the oncology pharmacists and nurses. I also enjoy playing basketball. I regularly teach and attend my local church with my family.
