About me

Hi, my name is Daniel Becker. Welcome to my Web page. I am a board-certified anesthesiologist with interests in all facets of anesthesiology, and I am excited to be a part of Southern California Permanente Medical Group.

Biography

Born and raised in Montana, I received my undergraduate degree in cellular and molecular biology at the University of Montana in Missoula. I made my way further west to complete medical school and residency training at the University of Washington in Seattle. After training, I served in the US Navy for the next 5 years as an active duty staff anesthesiologist at the Naval Medical Center in San Diego. In service of Operation Enduring Freedom, I deployed to Kabul, Afghanistan, as a medical mentor to the anesthesiology department for the Afghan National Army. Since my service with the Navy, I have practiced in Oregon and Washington State and have now settled in Southern California. My wife and I have 3 children and are fortunate to live in such a beautiful place with countless amenities.

About my practice

My travels and experiences taught me a great deal about adapting to unique environments and about the value of compassion, communication, and teamwork. I strongly believe in our role in helping guide our members through their surgical experience and providing them with the greatest opportunity for successful outcomes.

How I thrive

I find that I am thriving when I can spend quality time with my family, laughing and learning with my children. I most enjoy activities outdoors with them, such as skiing in the winter, playing at the beach in the summer, and camping whenever we can.
