Where I practice
Welcome to my Web page. I’m excited to have this opportunity to share a little bit about my education, my practice, and myself.
I was born and raised in California. I attended UC San Diego for college, where I studied biology and psychology, and played intercollegiate lacrosse. After graduation, I spent a year working and traveling before entering medical school at UC Irvine, where I remained for my internship and residency in general surgery. During my residency, I got married to my beautiful wife and was blessed with the births of my two children. I joined Kaiser Permanente in 2013.
About my practice
One of the reasons I became a surgeon is that I enjoy fixing things. The ability to cure a problem or disease with the use of my technical skills makes my job very rewarding. While my training has given me these skills to heal, I also believe that the relationship developed between my members, their families, and me is an equally important part of the healing process. As a general surgeon, some of the conditions and diseases I treat and operate on are hernias, gallbladder disease, gastrointestinal disorders, breast disease, colon tumors and cancer, and skin cancer.
How I thrive
I strive to keep a healthy work/life balance—which, as a surgeon, can be difficult at times. Having two active children and a golden retriever puppy keeps me on the move. I also enjoy hiking, mountain biking, and snowboarding, and look forward to sharing these experiences with my children, as they grow older.
