Where I practice
Welcome to my Web page! I’m thrilled to be able to share with you a bit about myself, and I hope that it will help you to know me better. I feel that good member-physician relationships are absolutely essential to good medical care and to helping make your visits more personal and enjoyable.
I grew up in the Boston area and fell in love with the idea of medicine as a calling. I was drawn to the way personal connections and scientific knowledge join to make lives better. After medical school in New York, I followed my dreams and moved to Los Angeles, which has been now my home for more than 20 years. My wife and I have three children, and every day I give thanks for the joys, rewards, and challenges, with which my practice and my family enrich my life.
About my practice
I love practicing in the Pediatrics Department, where I'm available to see kids from birth to age 18. I also see teenage members in our Teen Health Center—usually one afternoon per week. I’ve had such a stimulating and enriching practice experience at Woodland Hills Medical Center, where my fellow pediatricians and I share our knowledge and experience, and work together for all of our members.
How I thrive
The core of health is healthful living—this message is essential to my family and to me, and I emphasize it to my members as well. I run regularly, mountain bike on weekends, and, when the snow falls, you can often find me with my family skiing the local mountains. When the weather and our schedule cooperate, a family trip to the beach or local hiking trails are other favorite activities. My kids are all competitive swimmers, so I’ve spent plenty of time on pool decks as well. We also try to emphasize healthy food choices, mindfulness, and healthy sleep.
