About me
Welcome! Thank you for visiting my Web page and for the opportunity to introduce myself.
Biography
I was born and raised here in Southern California. After high school, I ventured East to Creighton University for my undergraduate education in Omaha, Nebraska. I then pursued my master’s in biochemistry and biotechnology at Georgetown University. I returned to Nebraska to accomplish my doctorate of medicine at the University of Nebraska and continued on to their anesthesiology residency. The many years of exciting travel across the United States had reminded me how beautiful Southern California is and the wonderful culture and diversity we have. In addition, it's very nice to be close to family and for the occasional free babysitting. My husband and I decided to move back to the West Coast.
About my practice
I practice with a team of more than 40 amazing anesthesiologists. We provide anesthesia for all types of surgeries and obstetrics cases. The practice of medicine not only requires us to manage a member's medical issues but to also care for the person. I strive to provide individualized care for each of my members and to treat each person with respect and compassion.
How I thrive
My philosophy is to try to live life to its fullest and enjoy each day. Sometimes we feel that the only way to find rest is when we are on vacation, but it is actually how we balance our daily lives, that really make us thrive. I enjoy coming to work and interacting with my members and colleagues. When I am home, I can't wait to share the simple joys of spending time with my husband and two boys. As a family, we love to travel and experience new adventures, including food and outdoor activities such as snowboarding and snorkeling. We try to maintain a healthy lifestyle by incorporating exercising and fresh food choices so that our children will find it very easy to make this a part of their lives. We remind them always that it's the "little things"− the sunrise, or a hello from a friend − that make each day amazing!
