Hello! My name is Blair Peoples. Thank you for taking the time to stop by my Web page. I’m an anesthesiologist here at the Kaiser Permanente Woodland Hills Medical Center, and look forward to meeting with you and being a part of your health care team.
I’m originally from Central California. My educational endeavors led me to Southern California for college, then to Tennessee and Texas for medical school and my residency. My wife—a native of Southern California—and I decided to move back and start both our family and our careers in sunny California. I enjoy spending my free time with my family, taking advantage of all the activities Southern California has to offer.
Anesthesiology can be a poorly understood specialty in the community. In addition to placing epidurals and putting members to sleep for surgery, our job is to act as the intensivist in the Operating Room by managing a member’s chronic and acute medical conditions while he or she is under anesthesia. As you can imagine, this takes a collaborative effort amongst surgeons, anesthesiologists, and primary care physicians to ensure the best outcome for our surgical patients. Kaiser Permanente creates a wonderful environment to achieve this.
In addition to spending time with my family, I enjoy staying active and playing basketball during my free time. I also enjoy taking advantage of this Southern California weather and getting outdoors as much as possible. Staying active is important to my overall well-being, so I try to incorporate this into various aspects of my life.
