Welcome to my Web page. I am an anesthesiologist with subspecialty training in interventional pain management.
Originally from Taiwan, I moved to the United States with my family at a young age. I grew up in the Midwest but have been in Southern California since college. I have fallen in love with the wonderful, diverse people here as well as the great weather.
My job duties alternate between working in the operating room and providing pain management. My colleagues and I in the Anesthesia Department strive to optimize the anesthesia care and safety for patients having surgery. In pain management, I am part of a multidisciplinary team that cares for patients with complex pain problems. I use several types of interventional techniques in pain management, including epidurals, nerve blocks, and stimulation of the spinal cord and nerves.
Keeping balance in my life is very important to me. I have a newborn who keeps me very busy, but I also regularly set aside time for physical activity. I like to take walks with my family as well as do yoga and Pilates. My hobbies are travel, scuba diving, deep-sea fishing, and food.
