How's it, everyone? I am glad to have the opportunity to share a little about myself. It is my goal to make your anesthesia experience at Kaiser Permanente an enjoyable and positive one.
I was born and raised on the island of Oahu. I completed my undergraduate, graduate, and medical school training at the University of Hawaii. I moved to California with my wife and 3 children and completed my anesthesia residency at UC Irvine. Although all our extended family is back home in Hawaii, we have made many great friends here, and are able to provide endless opportunities for our children. However, ‘you can take the boy from the island, but not the island from the boy.’
I understand that having surgery may be a very stressful and scary time, but I will be here to take great care of you. I will answer any of your questions or concerns so that you will feel ready to proceed with your surgery. I will also follow up with you in the recovery area to make sure you are safe and comfortable.
In my personal life, I aim to keep my wife and children happy. I try to attend every sporting and school event my children participate in, and I also try to help my wife with the house chores. I enjoy coaching my kids, whether it is for football, baseball, soccer, jiu jitsu, or even gymnastics. It brings me joy to watch them compete. Balancing work and family life is very important to me
