Where I practice
Welcome! I’m glad to have the opportunity to present my credentials to you and share other information about myself. It’s very important that you feel comfortable with your personal physician, and I hope this page will help you start to get to know me. I work with wonderful colleagues and members at Kaiser Permanente, and I look forward to working with you, too.
I was born in Connecticut but grew up in San Marino. I went to San Marino High School and received my undergraduate degree at Cornell University and my medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia. I completed my internal medicine residency and a fellowship in geriatric medicine at the LAC+USC Medical Center. I come from a family of physicians and married into a family of physicians. My father was a physician in Monterey Park. My husband, sister, and brother-in-law are also physicians. Debating medical issues and exchanging clinical strategies are frequent family topics of conversation.
About my practice
While I treat adult members young and old, I enjoy working with the senior population and the challenges associated with aging. My goal is to help people to improve the quality of their lives as they age. Furthermore, I work at promoting good health and exercise with members of all ages. I believe that a successful approach for each individual includes integrating healthy lifestyle choices with health care based on current evidence and research.
How I thrive
After coming home from a long day at work, I run on an elliptical machine for 30–40 minutes, which helps with stress, gives me energy, helps me sleep well, and keeps me healthy. In my free time, I especially love to read! Currently, I’m reading parenting books so that I can be the best mother possible for my two little girls.
