Where I practice
About me
Hello, and welcome to my Web page! I often go by Dr. Ali! Here you can get to know me better and feel more comfortable with your personal physician.
I am a board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist (ob/gyn) with special training and certification in minimally invasive (laparoscopic and robotic) gynecological surgeries. I take pride in providing to all members down-to-earth, up-to-date care that is based on evidence and current research.
Striving to ensure each member’s experience is as comfortable and uncomplicated is my life's passion!
I also take great joy in training the next generation of health care providers.
Biography
I was born, raised, and graduated from medical school in Iran, where I practiced as a family physician for 5 years. So, besides English, I can speak Farsi fluently.
I immigrated to the United States almost 25 years ago to continue my education and pursue my dream of being an ob/gyn specialist.
I finished my ob/gyn residency in St. Joseph Hospital, Chicago, followed by additional surgical fellowship training in Lahey Hospital in Burlington, Massachusetts.
I am fully board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG) with additional board certification in minimally invasive gynecological surgeries.
About my practice
My practice covers a full spectrum of women's healthcare, including routine screening, taking care of high-risk pregnancies, labor and deliveries, and complex gynecologic surgeries using minimally invasive techniques.
My fellowship training in complex pelvic surgery was completed at Lahey Hospital & Medical Center, a part of Beth Israel Lahey Health, and a teaching hospital of UMass Chan Medical School. It has given me the needed ability and confidence to approach and surgically treat a diverse range of complex female pelvic pathologies such as complex hysterectomies, resection and treatment of endometriosis, and removal of fibroids and ovarian cysts in both open and advanced laparoscopic/robotic techniques.
I readily incorporate the scientific and modern developments in a full range of ob/gyn care.
How I thrive
Being a good husband, father, and physician at the same time is what gives my life great meaning.I believe my success through life is in large part due to the fine balance between my family and career. I am married to my wonderful wife, who has encouraged me at each turn, and I have 2 terrific sons who keep my world and priorities in perspective.
