About me
Welcome! I am a physician assistant (PA), and I’d like to tell you more about my role at Kaiser Permanente. I am a highly trained healthcare professional who performs physical examinations, diagnoses and treats illnesses, prescribes medications, orders and interprets lab tests, and provides education and counseling. As part of our team-based care model at Kaiser Permanente, I work with physicians as a valuable part of your care team.
Biography
Although I was born in Orange County, my family moved to South Florida when I was very young, so I consider Miami my hometown. I now live in Orange County with my wife and 2 children and enjoy being close to the beach and the cooler weather by the ocean.
I chose to become a physician assistant because I wanted a career focused on helping others and creating opportunities to serve people in need around the world. Throughout my career, I have worked in several surgical specialties, including pediatric neurosurgery, spine surgery, and plastic and reconstructive surgery.
About my practice
Plastic and reconstructive surgery is a uniquely rewarding specialty because of the wide variety of patients and conditions we care for. From newborns with congenital ear or hand differences to adults undergoing reconstruction after cancer treatment, every patient presents an opportunity to improve function, confidence, and quality of life.My practice focuses on managing trigger finger, treating congenital newborn ear deformities, and performing a variety of office-based procedures, including the treatment of cysts, lipomas, skin cancers, and split earlobe repairs. As a physician assistant in the Plastic Surgery Department, I participate in all aspects of patient care. I assist surgeons in the operating room, help manage patients during their hospital recovery, provide postoperative care in the clinic, evaluate new consultations, and perform procedures independently in the office. My philosophy is that every patient deserves to be treated with dignity, compassion, and respect. I believe each person is uniquely valuable and deserves the same level of attention, care, and dedication at every visit.
How I thrive
I enjoy lifting weights, jogging, surfing, spending time with my family and animals, and playing guitar as part of a worship band. These activities give me time away from work, help me recharge, and allow me to return to patient care feeling refreshed and focused.
