Thank you for visiting my Web page and for being a member of Kaiser Permanente.
I was born in Hong Kong, and came to the United States at age nine. I grew up in Seattle and attended the University of Washington for both my undergraduate and medical degrees. After graduation, I moved to the Los Angeles area where I did my internal medicine residency at the West Los Angeles VA Medical Center, followed by a pulmonary and critical care fellowship at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. I started work at Kaiser Permanente Woodland Hills Medical Center immediately after fellowship training in 1991, and have been here ever since.
My practice is a mix of critical care medicine, and hospital and outpatient pulmonary consultations. I work with a team of exceptional pulmonary-critical care physicians. We share our on-call responsibilities and cover for each other when one is on vacation. My clinic also includes a staff of very capable nurses who assist me with your care, and respiratory care practitioners who perform pulmonary function tests and sleep studies. The best thing of about a part of Kaiser Permanente is my wonderful colleagues and patients. As members, you also have access to our physicans for consultation and treatment.
I thrive by doing simple things, such as parking farther away and walking. This saves gas as well because I don't circle the parking lot in search of the closest parking space. I also take the stairs instead of the elevators, it's much faster. When not at work, I spend time with my family. I also enjoy watching cartoons and reading comics.
