About me

I am pleased that you have chosen Kaiser Permanente to provide you with your health care needs. It's important to feel confident about your physician. I believe that learning more about your physician will build this confidence, so I have included some information about myself and my practice.

Biography

My father was my greatest inspiration and influence; he was an orthopedic surgeon, and was admired and loved by his patients and colleagues. At the young age of five, I knew that being a physician was my destiny. I admired my father’s passion for life and medicine. His altruistic nature was to be marveled at. He was not only an exceptional physician, but also a compassionate individual. I wanted to be just like him. After obtaining my degree in physical therapy, I went on to medical school. It was through residency in internal medicine at the University of Illinois that I realized that physical medicine and rehabilitation was my passion. I went on to finish the residency program in physical medicine and rehabilitation at the University of Chicago. I am board-certified in my specialty. I am grateful knowing that everyday I am able to make a difference in other people’s lives. My father would be proud.

About my practice

Our Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Department here in Bakersfield is comprised of board- certified specialists in physical medicine and rehabilitation and pain management, a physical therapist, a psychologist, and caring compassionate nurses. As a team, our goal is to make a difference in your life; whether it's to increase your mobility or to ease and alleviate your pain, we are here for you. It is my mission in life is to assist my patients with their ailments in any way I can. It is with great honor that I serve our community.

How I thrive

My family is my number-one priority. I love spending time with my kids. I do a lot of activities with them. We go swimming, biking, ice skating, and gardening, just to name a few. I also enjoy playing tennis and snow skiing. My wife and I love to travel and explore the different cultures of the world, and to try out their exciting ethnic cuisines.
