Where I practice
Welcome to my Web page. I am happy to have this chance to introduce myself to you and tell you about my practice. As a pediatric endocrinologist, I specialize in treatment of children and teenagers who have a variety of conditions, including diabetes and thyroid, growth, and puberty disorders. I feel very fortunate to work at Kaiser Permanente because of my wonderful colleagues, staff, and members, and I look forward to working with you to care for your health.
I grew up in New York, but now feel quite at home in Southern California since my wife and I moved here more than 20 years ago. We have three wonderful children. It was natural for me to become a physician. I enjoyed playing doctor when I was a kid, was affected by the diabetes some of my family developed, and later became interested in biochemistry, molecular biology, and growth factors. Pediatric endocrinology incorporates all of those interests, along with the health of children and the well-being of their families, which I remain passionate about.
About my practice
I feel that healthy living and preventive care are the best ways to stay healthy, particularly for those who have the chronic disorders I specialize in. I want to be your partner in health, and it helps me better care for you when you are actively involved in taking care of your health. I participate actively in the community because the main work for controlling chronic conditions like diabetes takes place outside of my office . It's so gratifying to take part in joyful moments I can share with the families who live with these conditions.
How I thrive
I strongly believe in the same advice I give my patients: that healthy living is a cornerstone of a good life. The main way I stay balanced and content is spending time with my family, but I also run daily and strive for good nutrition.
