I'm glad to have this opportunity to present my credentials to you and share other information about myself. It's very important that you feel comfortable with your personal physician, and I hope this page will help you start to get to know me.
I was born in Glendale, and went to high school at Harvard-Westlake in Studio City. I completed my undergraduate work at Brown University, and medical school at UC San Diego. I did my post-graduate training in neurosurgery at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. I feel so lucky to be back in the Los Angeles area practicing neurosurgery.
Practicing medicine is a very special opportunity to connect with and help people in a meaningful way, utilizing medical skills and knowledge, but also listening and responding to what members need. Being a doctor allows people to share with me their innermost secrets, fears, and hopes. I feel it’s a privilege to help members understand what concerns them, translate what they may not grasp, get them appropriate evaluations, and communicate with them and their families. I feel very honored that members have entrusted me with their care, and I strive to treat them as I would my own family.
I firmly believe in Kaiser Permanente's philosophy of health in mind, body and spirit, and try to live it in my life every day. My family life is my major priority. My wife, three children, and I enjoy summer camping trips, hikes, and quiet family time at home.
