Multifactor authentication

What is Multifactor Authentication (MFA)?

MFA (multifactor authentication) is a 2-step process that provides an added layer of security to confirm your identity when you sign in to your account.

Every time you sign in with your user ID and password, we’ll send you a unique, one-time passcode. Entering this passcode is your second step in signing in to your account.

How will my email address and mobile number be used?

When you use MFA, we’ll only use the email address or mobile number you’ve provided for your notification preferences to send you a unique, one-time passcode.

To receive a passcode at a different email address or mobile number, update your notification preferences with this new information.

What if I want to use a different email address or mobile number to receive a passcode?

You can decide where you’d like to receive a passcode.

If you change your email address or mobile number for MFA, your notification preferences will automatically update with that new information.
