Help with letters

You will find letters with medical information. This may include:

• Test results such as mammography results or results that require more explanation than we can provide in our test results feature
• Outcomes from visits to Kaiser Permanente specialists, such as eyeglass and contact lens prescriptions, ophthalmologists, or cardiologists
• Health reminders
• Instructions on preparing for a test, procedure, or surgery

You will be able to see all letters that are part of your patient record, or that of your family member, or the person you care for, except for:

• letters from a particularly sensitive visit
• letters with a status of Canceled or Void

In some areas, we are unable to show letters dealing with test results, billing, or other issues. Please contact Member Services if you have questions.

In some areas, only the 10 most recent letters are shown. Also, in order to avoid showing old letters with information that is no longer valid, letters are usually only available to view for 6 months.
