I'm a part of one of the most transformative experiences in a woman's life, bringing new life into the world. It's just remarkable. And I thought maybe it would get routine. It would, they all kind of blend together and get the same, but everyone is different and everyone is special and amazing. One woman that I'll never forget, she was about 40 by the time she had her baby, but I had met her many years previously. She was a little bit complicated, had high blood pressure, a chronic kidney condition, and also a brain aneurysm. I knew we had the right team to take care of her. So throughout her pregnancy, I could work kind of behind the scenes, through our electronic medical record, with our cardiologists and our neurologist and our nephrologists, to come up with a care plan together. And if I just had a question for one specialist, we could just text each other and say, "Hey, do you think I should change this medication? Sure, great." She didn't have to schedule an appointment to make that happen. She ended up having a full term, health pregnancy, healthy baby. When I first put that baby boy on her chest, it's hard to describe. It was something that she's wanted for her whole life. And the tears started flowing, and then my tears started flowing too. Afterwards, I think what was remarkable is that she said, "I always knew I was super high risk, but I never felt high risk," and that to me is amazing.
