My gender: Male
Where I practice
I was born in Tamil Nadu, India and was raised in India, Maine, and Alabama. I have a wife and two daughters.
About my practice
My desire to help people and my interest in the science of biology were what influenced me to go into medicine. Critical care is my chosen specialty because of my desire to treat the most severely ill. Seeing the immediacy of patients’ response to therapy is very satisfying to me. My professional affiliations include membership in the Society of Critical Care Medicine and Legacy of Life Hawaii. I am on the Advisory Board of the American College of Physicians and am a Fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians. To remain current with the most up-to-date medical research, I read professional journals and attend medical conferences. In addition to English, I speak Tamil. Practicing with the Hawaii Permanente Medical Group allows me to focus on providing critical care in a single, integrated hospital setting. I strive to provide excellent multidisciplinary care to critically ill patients. Interacting with patients and their families, providing comfort and direction during a time of critical illness, is professionally and personally rewarding for me.
How I thrive
In my leisure time I enjoy running, surfing, swimming, camping, playing music, and spending time with family and friends.
