Where I practice
I went to medical school at the University of Hawaii, John A. Burns School of Medicine. For my family medicine internship and residency, I attended the Family Medicine Residency of Idaho. Upon returning to Hawaii, I later completed my fellowship in geriatric medicine and earned master’s and doctorate degrees in clinical research at the University of Hawaii at Manoa.
About my practice
I find joy in helping to make people’s lives better and have always wanted to be a doctor. I especially treasure my interactions with older adults and their families. There is much to learn from the wisdom and experience of our seniors, and I almost always find myself inspired and energized after a visit with my patients. I also love problem-solving and the challenge of finding solutions that work in everyday life. I’m passionate about improving the care of older adults through teamwork and education, and I’m delighted to work with the fantastic group of health care professionals at the Hawaii Permanente Medical Group. I also enjoy teaching our future physicians as clinical faculty with the University of Hawaii.
How I thrive
I’m rejuvenated by spending time with family and enjoying the beauty of the ocean and mountains in Hawaii through ocean sports and hiking.
