Have you been thinking about changing your diet? Are you curious about how to get more vegetables on your plate that are tasty and delicious, but don’t know how? Join Chef Alyssa Moreau and our Wellness Coaches for an inspiring cooking demonstration, using plant-based recipes, that will leave you wanting more! Open to the Community. Pre-registration is required for each class.

This app allows us to interact with our members in a group while maintaining the requisite privacy you expect us to operate within. You can participate in the meeting either on your smartphone, tablet, laptop, or desktop computer.

If you’re using a smartphone or tablet, you must download the app ahead of time.

You do not need to create a Microsoft Live account; you can join the meeting as a guest to view presentations. Note: The chat function is disabled in guest mode.

The relationship between food, eating, and cooking to personal health and wellness has been well studied. Eating high-quality meals can help prevent and treat disease and restore well-being. This class is for you if you want to treat and prevent chronic disease with healthier eating habits by cooking delicious and healthy recipes.

Objectives:

  • Understand the importance of cooking and health
  • Learn skills to prepare plant-based meals
  • Increase the daily number of vegetable servings
  • Increase the number of meals planned, prepped, and cooked at home
  • Learn to identify resources to expand recipe collection

Recommended for members who have a:

  • BMI of 30 or higher or,
  • Hemoglobin A1C of 5.7 or higher or,
  • Diagnosis of Hypertension or,
  • Diagnosis of Hyperlipidemia or Dyslipidemia
