Join Chef Alyssa Moreau and our Wellness Coaches for an inspiring cooking demonstration, using plant-based recipes, that will leave you wanting more! Open to the Community. Pre-registration is required for each class.

The relationship between food, eating, and cooking to personal health and wellness has been well studied. Eating high-quality meals can help prevent and treat disease and restore well-being. This class is for you if you want to treat and prevent chronic disease with healthier eating habits by cooking delicious and healthy recipes.

Objectives:

  • Understand the importance of cooking and health
  • Learn skills to prepare plant-based meals
  • Increase the daily number of vegetable servings
  • Increase the number of meals planned, prepped, and cooked at home
  • Learn to identify resources to expand recipe collection

Recommended for members who have a:

  • BMI of 30 or higher or,
  • Hemoglobin A1C of 5.7 or higher or,
  • Diagnosis of Hypertension or,
  • Diagnosis of Hyperlipidemia or Dyslipidemia
