Shirin Valiani, MD
I speak: English, Urdu
My gender: Female
Where I practice
I completed my medical training at Dow Medical College, a prestigious institution in Pakistan. After moving to the U.S. with my family, I completed my family practice residency training at the Medical Center in Columbus, Ga. Family medicine was the only residency program providing care to this center and I gained exposure to a wide range of health conditions. I moved to the Atlanta area in 1995 and started a private practice, which I maintained for 22 years. In this practice, I took care of multiple generations within the same family - children, parents, grandparents, and even great-grandparents - for many years. I am now happy to be part of the Kaiser Permanente physician team and to use my experience to provide high-quality primary care to our members.
About my practice
I am board certified in family practice. I am well equipped to provide comprehensive primary care to a wide patient base. My areas of interest include hypertension, diabetes, lipid disorders, seasonal illnesses, musculoskeletal conditions, preventive care and health maintenance.
How I thrive
I am very family oriented and my greatest pleasure is being part of my children's and grandchildren's lives. My other interests include spending time outdoors, traveling and reading for pleasure.
