Where I practice
Born and raised in Kingston, Jamaica, I knew from a very early age that medicine was my passion. I truly consider it a privilege to work in the medical field. I graduated from the University of Miami in 1994, and I decided to return to Jamaica to pursue my degree in medicine at the University of the West Indies. Practicing medicine in a developing country was challenging, but extremely rewarding for me. Before leaving Jamaica to do my residency in Brooklyn, N.Y., I married my husband in 2002. We now have two beautiful daughters.
About my practice
I decided to join Kaiser Permanente in January 2015 due to their integrated and comprehensive health care management model. Their long-term focus on preventive medicine and patient-focused care is what made me want to work with Kaiser Permanente. I am a strong believer in patients being very involved in their own health care to enhance their well-being. I enjoy taking care of our members and taking the time to speak with them about their health to help them reach their health care goals.
How I thrive
My family keeps me thriving. I enjoy spending time with them visiting new places and trying different foods. I also enjoy volunteering weekly with the children at my church.
