About me

I am the oldest of two daughters who were raised by loving parents in middle Georgia. I was a kid who knew what she wanted to be at an early age and my pediatrician inspired me to go into the medical field. I remember being hospitalized for pneumonia as a five-year-old. Despite being in that strange environment, I knew that I was going to be okay because "my doctor" was there to take care of me. The caring demeanor exhibited by my pediatrician is what I hope to convey to the families that I see in our office.

Over the years, I have had the opportunity to learn from formal training, colleagues, continuing education and the families that I serve. I am becoming a better pediatrician each day by watching my daughter grow and develop. My experiences with her help me relate even more to our members and their families.

About my practice

I am proud to say that I am a pediatrician. Working in primary care is something that I thoroughly enjoy. I truly appreciate the relationships that I get to form with patients and their families. I believe that practicing medicine is a service that we, as physicians, are privileged to bestow. When I see a member, I want that experience to be one of learning for both of us. I like to include my patients and their families in the decision-making process during visits. I believe that the outcomes are better when we work together. In the Kaiser Permanente Pediatrics Department, we work as a team to make sure that our members receive the most high-quality care possible.

How I thrive

The person that I am today is because of the support that I continuously received from my family and friends. The endless love that I get from my husband and daughter keep me motivated to be a better person. If asked, my husband would easily tell you that my interests/hobbies include travel and photography. My goal is to travel to all seven continents (wish me luck!). I love to take photographs too; you never know when you might see something interesting or inspiring. I also enjoy learning new skills. I started taking swimming lessons as an adult. I can now swim! I hope to inspire and encourage others to rise to any challenges that they encounter and thrive.

The information in this online directory is updated periodically. The availability of physicians, hospitals, providers, and services may change. If you request it, your request for hard copies of the provider directory remains until you leave Kaiser Permanente or request that hard copies be discontinued.

Kaiser Permanente uses the same quality, member experience, or cost-related measures to select providers and facilities in Marketplace Silver-tier plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business. The measures may include, but are not limited to, HEDIS/CAHPS performance, member/patient complaints, patient safety scores, hospital quality measures, and geographic need. Members enrolled in KFHP Marketplace plans have access to all professional, institutional and ancillary health care providers who participate in KFHP plans' contracted provider network, in accordance with the terms of the members' KFHP plan of coverage. All Kaiser Permanente Medical Group physicians and network physicians are subject to the same quality review processes and certifications.

Kaiser Permanente uses the same geographic distribution consideration to select hospitals in Marketplace plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business.

Information about a provider is provided to us by the provider or the provider's network, or is obtained as part of the credentialing process. Board certification may not reflect contracted services available from providers listed in our directory. If you have questions regarding this or about any of our providers, call us at 1-800-611-1811 (toll free). For the hearing and speech impaired: 1-888-865-5813 or 711 (TTY). You can also call the Georgia Composite Medical Board at 404-656-3913, or visit their website.
