About me
I am a native Floridian who moved to Atlanta in 1989 to attend the graduate physician assistant program at Emory University. However, my interest in medicine began far before then. I became interested in medicine in high school, and my desire to work in the medical field continued through college. While working towards a biology degree at University of South Florida, I volunteered as an athletic trainer. This gave me my first hands-on experience treating patients. Sports have always played an important role in my life. I was a competitive swimmer, tri-athlete and cyclist in my youth. My extracurricular activities now involve my husband and twin boys. We love camping, traveling, hiking and mountain biking.
About my practice
I have been a physician assistant for over 20 years, practicing mostly in internal medicine and dermatology. I love getting to know our members and have learned that good communication between a provider and patient is an essential part of delivering excellent care. I feel strongly about educating our members, and I spend extra time explaining their condition and treatment plan. It is the same attention to detail I would want for myself or my family. Dermatology is a fascinating specialty and allows me to see members of all ages with a variety of conditions. I consider myself fortunate as I am able to work with some of the best dermatologists in Atlanta. I have achieved diplomat status as a dermatology PA and am also the director-at-large for the Georgia Dermatology Physician Assistants.
How I thrive
I like to stay active and it is rare to find me sitting around the house. Mountain biking and tennis are the sports I participate in most often. Recently, I took four years off of work to sail across the Pacific Ocean with my husband and twin boys. It was an opportunity of a lifetime to be able to spend such quality time with my family and see such amazing places!

Medicare Members: To request a hard copy of Kaiser Permanente’s provider directory, please call our Member Services department at 1-800-232-4404, seven days a week, 8 a.m to 8 p.m. Kaiser Permanente will mail a hard copy of the provider directory to you within three (3) business days of your request. Kaiser Permanente may ask whether your request for a hard copy is a one-time request or if you are requesting to receive the provider directory in hard copy permanently.
If you request it, your request for hard copies of the provider directory remains until you leave Kaiser Permanente or request that hard copies be discontinued.
Kaiser Permanente uses the same quality, member experience, or cost-related measures to select providers and facilities in Marketplace Silver-tier plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business. The measures may include, but are not limited to, HEDIS/CAHPS performance, member/patient complaints, patient safety scores, hospital quality measures, and geographic need. Members enrolled in KFHP Marketplace plans have access to all professional, institutional and ancillary health care providers who participate in KFHP plans' contracted provider network, in accordance with the terms of the members' KFHP plan of coverage. All Kaiser Permanente Medical Group physicians and network physicians are subject to the same quality review processes and certifications.
Kaiser Permanente uses the same geographic distribution consideration to select hospitals in Marketplace plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business.
