About me
As a young girl, I was always drawn to providing care for people. I usually found myself watching medical shows and imitating what was being done. My passion for the medical profession continued to grow as I got older.
I was born in Kenya, the youngest of three siblings. I speak English, Kisii and Swahili. I moved to the United States when i was 18 to pursue my nursing passion. I have two children (a son and daughter) and together we enjoy outdoor activities, taking walks every evening and watching movies. Working in the medical field has been and continues to be very rewarding for me personally and professionally, having the ability to provide care and education to our members to help them lead healthier lives.
About my practice
Kaiser Permanente's Behavioral Health Department is dedicated to providing our members with effective, efficient, affordable and evidence-based care. Together with a multi-disciplinary team of dedicated and professional providers, we care for different age groups providing therapy and medication for conditions like anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, and schizophrenia. We believe that "knowledge is power," and empowering our members with the right information helps them manage their conditions and make informed medical decisions.
How I thrive
I thrive by eating healthy and exercising at least three times a week. My day normally starts with 30 minutes of jumping rope followed by at least 30 minutes of weight training exercises. I enjoy walking at the Silver Comet Trail over the weekend with my kids which helps me unwind. In the spirit of giving back to the community, I volunteer at the Center for Black Women Wellness at least once a month.

Medicare Members: To request a hard copy of Kaiser Permanente’s provider directory, please call our Member Services department at 1-800-232-4404, seven days a week, 8 a.m to 8 p.m. Kaiser Permanente will mail a hard copy of the provider directory to you within three (3) business days of your request. Kaiser Permanente may ask whether your request for a hard copy is a one-time request or if you are requesting to receive the provider directory in hard copy permanently.
If you request it, your request for hard copies of the provider directory remains until you leave Kaiser Permanente or request that hard copies be discontinued.
Kaiser Permanente uses the same quality, member experience, or cost-related measures to select providers and facilities in Marketplace Silver-tier plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business. The measures may include, but are not limited to, HEDIS/CAHPS performance, member/patient complaints, patient safety scores, hospital quality measures, and geographic need. Members enrolled in KFHP Marketplace plans have access to all professional, institutional and ancillary health care providers who participate in KFHP plans' contracted provider network, in accordance with the terms of the members' KFHP plan of coverage. All Kaiser Permanente Medical Group physicians and network physicians are subject to the same quality review processes and certifications.
Kaiser Permanente uses the same geographic distribution consideration to select hospitals in Marketplace plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business.
