About me
Wife, mom, aunt, daughter, and friend are terms used to described me in my personal life. I enjoy serving in these roles and especially enjoy spending time with family. I come from a caring family, with parents who are always helping others in some capacity. This is what ultimately led me to medicine. I have lived in both large cities and small suburbs and enjoy traveling and learning about different cultures. I hope that these experiences allow me to better communicate with and understand individuals from various backgrounds.
In addition to traveling, I enjoy historic architecture and photography. I consider myself a life-long learner and strive to continuously learn more about various topics.
About my practice
Ten years into my first career in business, I decided to return to school to begin the process of becoming a nurse practitioner. In hindsight, it was a good decision.
I am trained in adult medicine, gerontology, and primary care and I am a member of the Kaiser Permanente Adult Medicine Department. I enjoy connecting with our members and believe in a wholistic approach to care. I have had the pleasure of experiencing Kaiser Permanente health care from three different perspectives. First, as a member/patient, then as a registered nurse, and now as a nurse practitioner. I am proud to say that I see the value of our services in each of these experiences and I know that they aid in providing the best clinical services.
How I thrive
A wise person once said, "Do the best you can until you know better. Then when you know better, do better." I think this is an accurate description of how I thrive. I endeavor to learn more and to constantly improve both professionally and personally. Like many others I have had to learn the importance of self-care as you care for others. I believe thriving is living your best life, and caring for yourself while caring for others.

Kaiser Permanente uses the same quality, member experience, or cost-related measures to select providers and facilities in Marketplace Silver-tier plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business. The measures may include, but are not limited to, HEDIS/CAHPS performance, member/patient complaints, patient safety scores, hospital quality measures, and geographic need. Members enrolled in KFHP Marketplace plans have access to all professional, institutional and ancillary health care providers who participate in KFHP plans' contracted provider network, in accordance with the terms of the members' KFHP plan of coverage. All Kaiser Permanente Medical Group physicians and network physicians are subject to the same quality review processes and certifications.
Kaiser Permanente uses the same geographic distribution consideration to select hospitals in Marketplace plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business.
