About me
I grew up in Portland, Oregon and attended Occidental College in Los Angeles, where I studied kinesiology and Spanish. After college, I served as community health volunteer in the Peace Corps in Peru. I worked in a variety of public health projects, including working in the local high school counseling students on birth control methods and bringing a high unplanned pregnancy rate down to 0%. To this day, I keep in touch with many of the young men and women I taught, and it is so rewarding to see them accomplishing their dreams and planning their families on the timeline that works best for them.
After my time in Peru, I completed a master's degree in public health, specializing in sexual and reproductive health, and maternal and child health. I then returned to West Coast to complete my PA training in the San Francisco Bay Area. My favorite parts of training were when I worked in women's health clinics, in the labor and delivery ward, and in the operating room assisting with gynecologic surgeries and procedures. My training in Ob/Gyn confirmed for me that it was where I wanted to dedicate my career.
About my practice
I always tell my patients that there are days when I am a patient too, and I provide the care I hope to receive. It is the same level of care and compassion I hope that my family and friends receive every time they see their health care provider. I believe that knowledge is power, and when women are listened to, validated, and supported, we can make the best decisions possible for ourselves and our families. I practice medicine with warmth and integrity, and I am focused on finding solutions to the health issues my patients experience. My special interests within gynecology are providing pain-free pap smears, providing inclusive and gender-affirming care, counseling on contraceptive methods, and performing in-office procedures, including insertion of IUDs and Nexplanons.
How I thrive
I enjoy traveling, hiking and camping, and frequenting local farmers markets and parks with my family and friends.

Medicare Members: To request a hard copy of Kaiser Permanente’s provider directory, please call our Member Services department at 1-800-232-4404, seven days a week, 8 a.m to 8 p.m. Kaiser Permanente will mail a hard copy of the provider directory to you within three (3) business days of your request. Kaiser Permanente may ask whether your request for a hard copy is a one-time request or if you are requesting to receive the provider directory in hard copy permanently.
If you request it, your request for hard copies of the provider directory remains until you leave Kaiser Permanente or request that hard copies be discontinued.
Kaiser Permanente uses the same quality, member experience, or cost-related measures to select providers and facilities in Marketplace Silver-tier plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business. The measures may include, but are not limited to, HEDIS/CAHPS performance, member/patient complaints, patient safety scores, hospital quality measures, and geographic need. Members enrolled in KFHP Marketplace plans have access to all professional, institutional and ancillary health care providers who participate in KFHP plans' contracted provider network, in accordance with the terms of the members' KFHP plan of coverage. All Kaiser Permanente Medical Group physicians and network physicians are subject to the same quality review processes and certifications.
Kaiser Permanente uses the same geographic distribution consideration to select hospitals in Marketplace plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business.
