Where I practice
Hello! Thank you for visiting my Web page! It is a pleasure to have the opportunity to introduce myself and let you know a little bit about me. I feel very fortunate to be working at Kaiser Permanente with wonderful colleagues, members, and state-of-the-art medical care. I am looking forward to meeting and getting to know you and your family. I want to help you ensure that your children grow up happy and healthy.
I am Korean but was born in New Delhi, India, due to my father’s job. He was a Korean ambassador to India. My family and I moved to the United States when I was 4 to pursue the best possible opportunities in life. I lived in Orange County for almost 30 years. I received all my education there, including undergraduate, medical school, and pediatric residency at UC Irvine. I have been practicing pediatrics since 2004. I started my career in pediatrics working in private practice in Anaheim and Corona for 4 years. I then moved to the San Fernando Valley in 2008 after marrying my wife. For the next 6 years, I worked in downtown Los Angeles in a federally qualified clinic, serving a mostly Spanish-speaking population. I started working part time for Kaiser Permanente in January 2014 and full time in December 2015. I am married and a proud father of 2 beautiful girls, with whom I spend most of my free time.
About my practice
As a pediatrician, I feel very blessed to have the opportunity to prevent disease, encourage a healthy lifestyle, and have a positive influence on a child’s life. I strive to do these things through education and encouragement. I believe that good communication is the key to any relationship, and this applies to the relationship between a pediatrician and members as well. Therefore, I strive to educate members to the best of my ability and empower them with the knowledge of how to be healthy. My experience as a parent has definitely helped me to be a better pediatrician. I understand that being a parent is very difficult and yet so rewarding, and I am grateful to have the chance to take care of other children as well. With the help of my incredible health care team, including my wonderful colleagues in the Pediatric Department, we will strive to give you high-quality care.
How I thrive
When I am not working, I love to spend time with my family. I enjoy fine dining and cooking for my family. I am an avid golfer and have been playing since I was 11. I even got to play a few rounds with Tiger Woods when I was younger! My family and I love rooting for the Lakers, Dodgers, and Rams! I also enjoy staying active through working out and hiking.
