Hello, and welcome to my Web page!! I am Vikas Jindal, and I am an occupational medicine specialist. I manage injuries arising out of and in the course of employment.
I earned my medical degree from Sri Guru Ram Das Institute of Medical Sciences affiliated with Baba Farid University in Punjab, India, and I completed my residency training in surgery at Bronx Lebanon Hospital and Brooklyn Hospital Centers in New York. I practiced in a primary care center in Salt Lake City, Utah, and an urgent care center in Culpeper, VA for a few years. Shortly thereafter I completed my occupational medicine residency training at tge University of South Florida (USF), Tampa. I also completed a Master of Science in Public Health (MSPH) degree, along with few other certifications, including medical review officer (MRO), board certification in public health (CPH),and certified medical examiner (CME) courses for commercial vehicle driver physicals. These experiences gave me the opportunity to work and rotate in many locations.
In the Occupational Health Department, we manage all the work related injuries and do physical exams for commercial vehicle drivers (DOT) exams. We care for many injuries, from lacerations and bruises to major surgical or cardiology interventions Our main focus is on prevention, returning to work as soon as it is safe, employee education, and satisfactory progress. I listen to injured workers with open mind and try to do my best to solve their problems. It is easy for me to help our workers and their employers here at Kaiser Permanente because of our integrated electronic health care system which keeps me connected to patient information.
The positive energy provided by my patients and our staff helps me thrive. Spending quality time with my patients as well as with my family has always been my priority.
