Where I practice
Welcome to my Web page. I am happy to have this chance to introduce myself to you and tell you about my practice. I feel very fortunate to work at Kaiser Permanente with wonderful colleagues and patients, and I look forward to working with you to care for your health.
I was born and raised in the South Bay and love the area. After living in Chicago during my college and medical school years, I returned to Southern California for residency training and have been working at Kaiser Permanente South Bay since September 2004. I decided to pursue a career in medicine because I wanted my work to be meaningful. I wanted to be able to make a real difference in people's lives, and practicing medicine gives me that opportunity.
About my practice
I feel that healthy living and preventive care are the best ways to stay healthy, but I am also here to help you when you are sick. I want to be your partner in health, and it helps me better care for you when you are actively involved in taking care of your health. I work in both the clinic and hospital setting. About eight times per year, I spend five days working in the hospital taking care of hospitalized patients. This means that I am not in clinic as much as many other doctors, but I believe that continuing to care for sick, hospitalized patient enhances my ability to care for patients in the clinic setting.
How I thrive
I firmly believe in a healthy lifestyle and try to live it in my daily life. My family is most important to me. I work part time and generally see patients in my clinic three and a half days per week, allowing me time to spend with my family. I greatly enjoy the splendor of nature and being outdoors. I especially love hiking along the bluffs of Palos Verdes, and jogging and rollerblading by the beach.
