About me
Welcome to my web page. I’m Dr. Madrid Malo, a friendly, warm physician who wants you to feel completely comfortable and seen when you walk into my office. I understand the vulnerability that comes with seeking care, and I honor it deeply.
Biography
I grew up in Bogotá, Colombia, and have lived in the United States for 15 years—New Jersey, New York, and Virginia—before finding my forever home in Temecula, where the wine country sits in my backyard. I’m happier here than I’ve ever been.
I’m married and have 2 daughters. As a family, we love taking trips on our boat, going to Disneyland, watching plays, and spending as much time outdoors as we can.
I became a physician because I wanted to make people’s lives better. I trained in Brooklyn, New York, where I gained broad exposure to all aspects of medicine. I served as a chief resident where I worked closely with medical students and developed a strong passion for teaching; both the next generation of physicians and my own patients.
One of my greatest accomplishments, though, is being a mom and a female physician; it fills my life with purpose and pride.
About my practice
I practice internal medicine and care for patients with chronic and complex conditions. I focus on truly hearing my patients and educating with respect. Prevention and healthy habits are at the core of my approach to maintaining long‑term wellness.
My medical assistant is warm, caring, and incredibly supportive, and our entire clinical team works together to ensure we provide the best care possible. I speak Spanish and welcome Spanish‑speaking patients, as well as anyone who needs my care—regardless of background or language.
I believe in the power of a smile, human connection, and genuine compassion. My goal is to support you, guide you, and work as a team—always with respect, openness, and encouragement.
How I thrive
Having worked in community settings before, I can confidently say that Kaiser Permanente’s coordinated, patient centered model makes a meaningful difference. Being able to collaborate directly with specialists and keep all care under one umbrella allows us to provide seamless, efficient, and truly comprehensive care.
In my personal life, I achieve balance by staying organized, learning something new each day, and enjoying quality time with my family. I love playing guitar, exercising, and meditating every morning on my way to work—it keeps me grounded and centered.
