About me
Welcome! I am a nurse practitioner (NP), and I’d like to tell you more about my role at Kaiser Permanente. I am a highly trained healthcare professional who performs physical examinations, diagnoses and treats illnesses, prescribes medications, orders and interprets lab tests, and provides education and counseling. As part of our team-based care model at Kaiser Permanente, I work with physicians as a valuable part of your care team.
Biography
I grew up in Nigeria and now live in San Bernardino County. My family has been a strong source of support and encouragement throughout my nursing and advanced practice career. Their influence has reinforced the importance of compassion, patience, and understanding each person's unique experiences. I became a family nurse practitioner and psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner because I have always wanted to help people and make a positive difference in their lives. I value the opportunity to combine clinical knowledge with education and advocacy while empowering patients to take an active role in their health. I am also committed to lifelong learning, evidence-based practice, and supporting the health and well-being of underserved and diverse communities.
About my practice
I am a family nurse practitioner with additional training and experience in psychiatric mental health. I enjoy caring for patients across the lifespan and working with diverse individuals and families. My approach focuses on the whole person by addressing both physical and emotional health. I believe every patient should feel heard, respected, and involved in decisions about their care. I take time to understand each patient's concerns, values, culture, and goals, and together we develop a personalized plan of care. Open communication, preventive care, and health education are central to my practice. I also work closely with physicians, nurses, specialists, pharmacists, behavioral health professionals, and other members of the health care team to provide coordinated, comprehensive care. What I value most about Kaiser Permanente is its commitment to prevention, care coordination, and patient-centered care through a collaborative team approach.
How I thrive
Outside of work, I enjoy spending quality time with my family and friends. I value traveling, exploring new places and cultures, and creating meaningful memories with the people I care about. These activities help me maintain a healthy balance by giving me time to step away from my professional responsibilities, reconnect with the people and experiences that are important to me, and recharge mentally and emotionally.
