About me

Welcome! I am a physician assistant (PA), and I’d like to tell you more about my role at Kaiser Permanente. I am a highly trained healthcare professional who performs physical examinations, diagnoses and treats illnesses, prescribes medications, orders and interprets lab tests, and provides education and counseling. As part of our team-based care model at Kaiser Permanente, I work with physicians as a valuable part of your care team.

Biography

I was born in Vietnam and now live in Southern California with my family. I enjoy being close to family and friends while being part of a diverse community. I am a proud mother of 2, and family is a very important part of my life. Being raised by immigrant parents taught me the importance of hard work, humility, perseverance, and caring for others. I chose health care because I genuinely enjoy helping people. What drew me to becoming a physician assistant was the opportunity to combine medical knowledge and clinical decision-making with meaningful relationships with patients. I have practiced medicine since 2006 and have experience in family medicine, urgent care, urology, clinical research, and aesthetics. I am also fluent in Vietnamese and enjoy connecting with diverse communities through community health and wellness events.

About my practice

My primary specialty is family medicine, and I care for patients with a broad range of acute and chronic conditions, as well as preventive and routine health care needs. Being both a mother and a health care provider has shaped the way I care for patients. I understand that people have busy lives, responsibilities, worries, and challenges that may not always be visible during a medical visit. My philosophy is simple. I treat people the way I would want to be treated. I believe good health care is about listening, explaining things clearly, and helping patients feel comfortable asking questions. I want every patient to feel heard, respected, and cared for. My experience in urgent care, urology, clinical research, and aesthetics has given me a broad clinical perspective and reinforced my belief in caring for the whole person. I also believe excellent care comes from collaboration and working closely with other health care professionals to provide coordinated, patient-centered care.

How I thrive

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling, trying new foods, and exploring new places. I also enjoy spending time with friends and loved ones and staying active. Traveling and exploring different places gives me an opportunity to experience different cultures and create memories with my family. These activities help me recharge and return to work refreshed and present for my patients.
