About me

Hello, and thank you for visiting my Web page! I hope this helps you get to know me better. I am a board-certified hematologist and medical oncologist at Kaiser Permanente in Kern County. I provide compassionate care, fostering trusting relationships, and supporting members through every step of the cancer journey.

Biography

I began my medical training at Kathmandu Medical College in Kathmandu, where I earned my medical degree and completed my internship. After moving to the United States, I completed my internal medicine residency at Maimonides Medical Center in New York in 2017. Following residency, I completed a clinical fellowship in hematology and oncology at UC Irvine in 2020.

About my practice

By nature, I am compassionate, and I believe my happiness is closely tied to the well-being of those around me — an outlook shaped by my upbringing that continues to guide my work as a physician. Cancer is one of the most emotionally challenging diagnoses a person can face, and from the moment of diagnosis, every moment becomes precious.

Throughout medical school and residency, I witnessed the immense strength, courage, and hope that patients and their families bring to this journey. I also observed firsthand the critical role that physicians and care teams play in supporting them. Seeing how a strong support system can transform the cancer journey inspired me to pursue a career in hematology and oncology.

After completing my fellowship at UC Irvine, I joined Kaiser Permanente because its team-based care allows me to focus on what matters most: coordinated, member-centered cancer care. The collaboration among specialties ensures that members receive timely, comprehensive treatment. I care for a wide range of general oncology and benign hematology conditions. I value building long-term, meaningful relationships with members. I believe we are all part of one big family, and that love and compassion are essential for human well-being. For this reason, I strive to treat the whole person, not just the disease, with care, empathy, and respect.

Multidisciplinary Teams

I believe that effective care depends on collaboration and teamwork. I participate in local and regional multidisciplinary tumor boards to ensure that members receive comprehensive, coordinated care, with the goal of improving care and supporting positive outcomes for members.

Research

Oncology is constantly evolving, with advances in cancer biology and therapies shaping care every day. I view research as essential for improving both the effectiveness and tolerability of treatments. My residency and fellowship training have prepared me to deliver high-quality care that is based on evidence and current research. I prioritize staying current with the latest advancements to provide positive outcomes for members.
