About me
I’m glad to have the opportunity to present my credentials to you and share other information about myself. It is very important that you feel comfortable with your personal physician, and I hope this page will help you start to get to know me. I look forward to being your partner in your health care.
Biography
I was born in Seoul, Korea. When I was 10 years old, I moved to Southern California with my family. Shortly after my arrival, I saw a documentary that shaped my future. The film was about a fascinating surgery that restored a person’s vision. What a difference it made in that persons quality of life! Since that point, I was determined to become a physician and make a difference in peoples lives. I received my education and training in beautiful Southern California. I have two wonderful teenage boys who keep me grounded. We enjoy playing tennis, skiing, and traveling abroad.
About my practice
Medicine has given me a very special opportunity to connect with people in all walks of life. It not only allows me to utilize skills and knowledge I have learned but it also allows me continue on my educational journey. Through my years as a physician, I have learned that it is not just physical ailments that cause illnesses. I believe that each person is an individual and the approach to health care should be based on whole-person care, not only addressing a person’s physical ailments but also acknowledging his or her emotional and spiritual needs.
How I thrive
Keeping a good balance in my life is very important to me. I work part-time, which allows me time to be available at home for my children as well as fostering my hobbies. I make it a priority to eat healthy and exercise four to five times per week. I not only want to be a good example for my children, but I want to live the lifestyle I promote for my patients.
