Where I practice
Welcome to my Web page. Thank you for the opportunity to share a bit about myself and my practice. It is very important that you feel at ease with your oncologist, and I hope this page will help us establish a comfortable relationship as partners in your healthcare.
Growing up during the turmoil of the Cultural Revolution in Shanghai, China, I came to sunny Southern California at nineteen. I completed my undergraduate education in chemistry at UCLA before going to the East Coast for medical school. I enjoy the challenge of learning science and seeking new ways to fight cancer. I have been very active in cancer treatment research since I started my medical training at the Mayo Clinic. I have had numerous publications in respected and peer-reviewed journals, such as Journal of Clinical Oncology and Mayo Clinic Proceedings.
About my practice
I would like to be your partner in the management of cancer and blood disorders. I regard my patients as captains of the ship. With my knowledge and skills, I help them navigate the complex and rapidly evolving field of cancer therapy. Fighting cancer is both mentally and physically exhausting. I believe in being thorough and compassionate about dealing with suffering. I strive to deliver the absolute best care to extend and improve quality of life.
How I thrive
To maintain my own wellness, I try to balance my professional and family life. I enjoy spending time with my wife and son visiting national parks and traveling to my native country, China. I also take pleasure in gardening, and landscape photography.
