About me
Hello! I am Dr. Novikoff. I am a family medicine physician providing full-spectrum preventive and chronic care for members from newborns to older adults. I would love to meet you and help you and your family stay healthy and maintain a good quality of life.
Biography
I was born and raised in Panama and have lived in the United States since age 21. I studied business administration and then decided to go to medical school to help people achieve and maintain healthy lives. It was a privilege and an honor to do my residency training and serve in the US Navy for 11 years, which included a tour with the US Marines during the Iraq War. I raised my daughter as a single mother. She is my pride and joy, and she is on her way to a successful career and life. I love to inspire young people to dream big and work hard to achieve their goals. I continue to mentor middle school children through our annual Kaiser Permanente Hippocrates Circle Program, which provides several events designed to inspire and encourage teens to consider a career in medicine.
About my practice
My passion and mission in life is to help others achieve wellness and well-being in their lives. My favorite part of my job is to get to know you personally, discuss your health needs and concerns, and work on a plan together for you to achieve wellness. I focus on a holistic approach when evaluating you, taking into consideration the interaction between the body, mind, emotions, and social context affecting your health. I use an integrative approach to treatment using pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic tools to achieve a better quality of life. I believe in partnering with you and working together to achieve your healthcare goals.
How I thrive
I believe that a healthy, well-balanced lifestyle is key to a good quality of life. I like to swim, bike, and run to keep my body strong and help with my cardiovascular health. Food is medicine. I try to eat a whole foods, plant-based diet that is low in sugar, with low salt and no oils. Friends and family are very important to me. I stay in touch with them and do fun activities like taking ballet classes or going to a concert or a museum. I also enjoy time alone and nurture my inner spiritual life by praying, journaling, coloring, playing the guitar, or reading.
