About me

Welcome! I'm so glad you're here.  Thank you for taking the time to visit my Web page. I hope you'll find this information helpful in getting to know me, learning about my approach to care, and feeling comfortable as you decide whether I'm the right fit for you and your family.

Biography

I've always had a heart for medicine. Growing up, I watched my grandparents navigate complex medical needs, and those experiences inspired my desire to care for others. I was raised in Burtonsville, Maryland, alongside my brother, and I was fortunate to grow up surrounded by my large extended family. My parents were always incredibly supportive of my dreams, encouraging me every step of the way as I pursued a career in medicine. I went to the University of Maryland, Baltimore County and graduated with my undergraduate degree in biological sciences.

For medical school, I moved to a small town in North Carolina and attended Campbell University School of Osteopathic Medicine. I quickly fell in love with the state, making it an easy decision to stay there for my family medicine residency at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte. Although I'll always be an East Coast girl at heart, life had other plans. I met my husband and fell in love, and our journey eventually brought us to Bakersfield, which we're excited to call home.

I feel incredibly grateful to have the opportunity to care for individuals and families in this community, and I look forward to building meaningful, lasting relationships with members.

About my practice

I enjoy caring for members of all ages, from young children to older adults, and I value the opportunity to build lasting relationships with individuals and families throughout every stage of life. My approach to family medicine is centered on listening, understanding each member's unique needs, and partnering with them to create care plans that align with their goals and values.

I believe that each member is the expert in their own health journey. My role is to provide guidance, education, and support while helping members make informed decisions about their health. I emphasize preventive medicine, healthy lifestyle habits, and early intervention to help members maintain their well-being and reduce the risk of chronic disease.

I have a particular interest in preventive care and diabetes prevention and management. I enjoy working with members to develop realistic, sustainable strategies that fit their lives and empower them to take an active role in their health. Whether you are coming in for a wellness visit, managing a chronic condition, or addressing a new concern, my goal is to be a trusted partner and support you along the way.

How I thrive

Outside of medicine, I enjoy spending time doing the things that bring balance and joy to my life. I love baking, traveling, and creating memories with my family and friends.

I am a strong believer that health is about caring for the whole person. Our mental and physical health are deeply connected, and taking care of one often supports the other. I believe that finding balance, nurturing relationships, and making time for the things that bring us happiness are important parts of overall well-being.

I enjoy continuing to learn, exploring new experiences, and appreciating the small moments that make life meaningful. These values shape not only how I approach my own life but also how I connect with and support members on their individual health journeys.
