Choosing a primary care physician from a list of names or even a list of faces can be difficult, so I share this information about me and my practice so that you can make a more informed decision when selecting a primary care doctor.
I was born and raised in southern California—and I’m very fortunate to have attended medical school, completed my training, and started my full-time job here as well. I decided to go into medicine because it is a noble profession where I get to work closely with people in improving their health.
My practice is guided by three key principles. First, I believe in getting to know my patients. In the world of the 20-minute visit, I admit this is difficult, but not impossible, and I really do make an attempt to learn my patient’s backgrounds, hobbies, and interests during our visits. Second, I believe in explaining health conditions in a way that patients can understand. And third, I see treatment less as “doctor’s orders” and more as “a plan that a patient and I discuss and agree on together.”
I stay active, try to eat healthy food, think positively, and take pride in a job well done.
