Hello, and thanks for visiting my Web page! My hope is that this page will give you a better sense of who I am, and will enable you to get to know me outside of the office setting.
I was born in Southern California and grew up in Torrance—so I'm a South Bay native. For high school, I attended Chadwick School—a small prep school in Palos Verdes—where I was the editor of the school newspaper and made many lifelong friendships. I then moved up north to attend Stanford University—go, Cardinals! I majored in English with a creative writing emphasis and a minor in human biology. After college, I attended medical school at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. I completed my internship and residency training in pediatrics at UCLA. I stayed an extra year to serve as co-chief resident and began working at Kaiser Permanente South Bay in 2006. I got married in 2007. My wife is also in the medical profession. We have a son and a daughter who keep us pretty busy at home!
I love working here at Kaiser Permanente South Bay Medical Center. I'm fortunate to work with wonderful colleagues, including an amazing group of fellow pediatricians. I work in the office most days during the week, and I spend time in the After Hours Clinic on some weekends and evenings. I'm a strong believer in preventive medicine and believe that Kaiser Permanente is a wonderful place to practice medicine. I love our new Carson facility—and you will, too!
I'm a big sports fan and love to play basketball. To relax my mind, I enjoy reading short stories and going to the movies.
