Where I practice
Welcome to my Web page. I am a nephrologist at Kaiser Permanente in Bakersfield. I enjoy what I do and working with Kaiser Permanente has been a privilege. I help take care of members with chronic kidney disease and end stage renal disease who are on dialysis. I also provide follow-up care for members who have received a kidney or pancreas transplant.
I am originally from India. My parents are both physicians and I decided early on that was what I wanted to do as well. I have been blessed that I am able to do what I enjoy the most. I did my medical school in India and then went on to complete my residency in internal medicine at Worcester Medical Center in Worcester, MA. I stayed back for a year as the chief resident and then moved to Maine Medical Center in Portland, Maine, to do my fellowship in nephrology. After my fellowship, I moved to Bakersfield to work for Kaiser Permanente and have been here ever since.
About my practice
I help take care of people with chronic kidney disease and those on dialysis. I enjoy the continuity of care that comes with my field. Taking care of patients with a chronic disease has given me an opportunity to build a special bond with my patients.
How I thrive
When I am not working, I like to spend time with my family. My husband and I have a daughter who is the apple of our eye. We like to travel as a family to different destinations so we can expose our little girl to different cultures. I love to cook and experiment with food.
