I grew up in Oakland, California. I decided to live in Southern California due to the many beautiful beaches that we have here. I have to be around the ocean since I love marine life.
I couldn't believe that my first pair of glasses changed my world. Ever since I was a child, I knew I wanted to an eye doctor because I wanted people to experience clear vision. This is how I fell in love with optometry. I am a regular volunteer at the RAM health screening at Coachella Valley every spring. I have also been to Jamaica for a medical mission and will continue to dedicate my time every year to providing eye care for the people there who cannot afford health care. I enjoy outdoor activities such as camping, hiking, and fishing.
I did my residency in ocular disease at the Las Vegas Veterans Affairs Hospital, where I oversaw many glaucoma patients along with guiding optometry interns in ocular disease diagnosis and treatment. I also have experience in fitting specialty contacts in members with cornea-related issues. My passion is to restore vision to those who could no longer see well with regular glasses.
I have an exercise regimen that I try to stick to, along with a healthy diet. I aim to work out 3 times a week and have another 2 days set apart for cycling. I enjoy taking leisure hikes along the many California trails. I admire the great outdoors and spend as much time as I can camping and traveling.
