Where I practice
Welcome and thank you for taking the time to visit my Web page and learn more about my practice. At Kaiser Permanente, you will find physicians and other health care providers working together to provide professional and personal care of the highest quality.
I was born in Asmara, Eritrea. I completed my residency and fellowship in New York and then moved to Los Angeles. I am board certified in internal medicine and nephrology. I have extensive experience in renal diseases beginning right after my graduation from medical school when I worked in a renal unit for a number of years. This experience was complemented by a formal fellowship program and several years of experience here in the United States.
About my practice
Renal services at Kaiser Permanente West Los Angeles Medical Center includes a team of nephrologists, nurses, renal care managers, dietitians, social workers, and other health care providers. We work together to provide you with comprehensive care. Besides the diagnostic and therapeutic aspects of the clinics, we have several educational classes which address the dietary and other modifications needed to maintain a healthy, balanced, and thriving lifestyle.
How I thrive
I believe in having a healthy and balanced lifestyle. This is expressed in my daily activities, which include exercises with physical, mental, and spiritual dimensions.
