I'm Dr. Rezvanian. I practice as a hospitalist at Kaiser Permanente Antelope Valley Medical Offices. Hospitalists are doctors of internal medicine who develop treatment plans and provide members with primary care in a hospital setting. I find this practice both challenging and rewarding.
I was born and raised in Tehran, Iran and moved to the United States after finishing medical school at Azad University in Tehran. I received my postgraduate training and served as a resident at Overlook Hospital in Summit, New Jersey. I have practiced as both a hospitalist and a primary care physician, but I find that hospital work allows me to see the results of my efforts quickly and gives me the satisfaction of helping people recover from serious, sometimes life-threating injuries and illness. Before coming to California, I have practiced as a hospitalist in New Jersey. In 2012, I joined Kaiser Permanente. I have found Kaiser Permanente’s approach to be fascinating and have enjoyed working with my colleagues, staff, and our wonderful members.
One of the hardest parts of meeting members and their families for the first time in the hospital is developing a good rapport. Fortunately, at Kaiser Permanente I have direct access to a members complete medical record electronically, so I can learn much about his or her condition and history, even before we meet. When members understand that I have a good grasp of their situation and can suggest concrete steps to help make things better, they are much more comfortable and relieved. I want you to know I’ll treat you or your loved one the same way I would treat a member of my own family.
Family is a major priority for me. When I am not working, I try to spend as much time with my husband and children as possible. We bike and hike together and simply enjoy the fresh air and sunshine which is so plentiful in Southern California. When it comes to me time, I enjoy listening to music and painting.
