Where I practice
Hello, and welcome to my Web page! My name is Dr. Directo and I’m a general pediatrician. I recently joined Kaiser Permanente’s West Los Angeles Medical Center, and I’m accepting new patients. I enjoy meeting new families and would love the opportunity to take care of your child.
I was born and raised in Orange County. I went to college at the University of Southern California, and I’m proud to be a Trojan. My graduate studies then took me to Boston, and ultimately to Chicago for medical school. I couldn’t stay away from family and warm weather for too long, so I moved back to Los Angeles to complete my pediatrics residency at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. I now enjoy living in LA with my husband, and love coming to work every day.
About my practice
I feel privileged to take care of your child and strive to provide excellent care at each visit. I am passionate about promoting health and preventing illness, and will help your family and child lead a healthy lifestyle to ensure a bright future. I encourage families to schedule their child’s well visits and physicals with me, as their primary pediatrician, to allow me to build rapport with your child and get to know your family better. I truly believe parents know their child best; so I will always empower you with the information you need to make the best medical decisions for your child. Finally, I’m a native Spanish speaker and enjoy practicing medicine in our diverse city.
How I thrive
My husband is also a physician and we motivate each other every day to eat healthy and stay active. We try to keep our kitchen stocked with fresh produce and enjoy cooking nutritious meals during the week. On weekends, we enjoy being foodies and trying new restaurants all over L.A. I stay active by going to the gym, practicing yoga, taking long walks around town, and hiking the hills of L.A. Lastly, I recharge my mind by spending quality time with my family and friends, as well as by traveling and exploring new places around the world.
