Where I practice
Welcome to my Web page. I love my work as a physician, and my other favorite jobs are being a mommy and a wife. Becoming a mom has made me a better person and has changed me in so many ways, including my perspective and role as a physician.
I grew up in a small rural town outside of Tucson, Arizona, and graduated from Arizona State University in 1988 with a Bachelor of Science degree in exercise physiology. I graduated from Stanford University School of Medicine and completed my residency at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital at Stanford. I began my career at Kaiser Permanente in Riverside in 2008. I am honored and fortunate every day to have the privilege of helping you care for your child. I am bilingual in English and Spanish. I highly recommend registering at kp.org, where you can get in touch with me through my office via email, view labs and vaccine records, make appointments, and find a wealth of information about children’s health.
About my practice
In addition to seeing patients in my office, I also take care of children while they are hospitalized overnight. The shared experience with parents in my practice has enhanced my ability to relate and to be the best listener as I can to help discover the right diagnosis and treatment, but most importantly to demonstrate how much I care about my patients.
How I thrive
I thrive by spending time with my family, friends and my patients, going to Disneyland, watching HGTV, vintage shopping, leading our medical center in efforts related to culturally responsive care, teaching UC Riverside medical students and residents, and keeping up with the news. Things that I am trying to do more of: travel, exercise, reading for pleasure, and cooking.
